Story
I've talked about doing something like this for years and always managed to find a good reason not to. This year that changes - if people can run 26 miles for charity I'm sure I can cycle 250 miles over 4 days. However bear in mind, I don't think I have ever cycled 70 miles in a day before let alone cycling that much for 4 days in a row.
This ride goes between Zurich and Frankfurt and will travel through the Black Forest into France and over the Rhine - along the Rhine valley and into the heart of Frankfurt.
Day one involves 60 miles and 1000m of climbing - someone told me that 1000 m is nothing - on the Tour de France they climb 5000 m in a day. At first I thought - that's OK then, but then they do this all day and every day - its their job and I still have to do 1/5 of it. I can't even get my head round days 2-4.
The Alzheimer's society is the Credit Suisse charity of the year and none of us can afford to be complacent about the impact of Alzheimer's both for sufferers and for their family and friends.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please make it worth my pain.
Thank you
