Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My story begins 5 years ago at the birth of my daughter. She was perfect like all newborns are to their parents. At the same time a very close family friend was losing the fight against breast cancer. I do remember her admiring her wig saying its so much better than her natural hair. Of course it was not, but the sparkle of happiness in the tough time of chemo treatments has touched my heart. Looking at my newborn daughter with almost no hair at all, I made a decision to grow my hair as long as it would grow and give some happiness to someone else's daughter and made her feel perfect, just like I felt about my daughter.
The time has come now, after 5 years. The hair will be going to Little Princess Trust, but the story continues.
I have decided to ask you, supporters to donate for Andover and District Mencap as very recently, my son has been diagnosed with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), finding it very difficult to cope with school curriculum and feeling very anxious every day. Without a support, he would be soon behind, excluding himself from the world he does not quite understand. As every mother, I want to do everything possible to help him strive and live highly functioning life. All children like mine need support to enable their better social inclusion. Please, help me reach my fundraising goal for this good cause.
Thank you
Marie
