The GE Corporate team have voluntered for the Marie Curie Charity Shop Challenge on Friday 7 May. There will be about 10 other GE teams who will each take over a Marie Curie site in London. Our allocated site is Belsize Park, North London. We aim to by raise as much money as possible for the charity by donations/pledges and selling stock.
Marie Curie Nurses provide high quality care, totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice the choice to spend their final days at home, supported by the people they love. Their nurses also give family members the vital emotional support and advice they need and usually provide care at night, allowing them to rest. Marie Curie Cancer Care has more than 2,000 Nurses working across the UK. It costs the charity £20 to provide each hour of nursing care.““ When Mum was taking those last few deep breaths I remember looking at you and you said: ‘Go on tell her, she can still hear you’ and I told her for the last time that I loved her and I would never forget her. I don’t think I would have known to say that if you didn’t tell me, and I felt better because I was able to say it.” . - J, aged 15
Marie Curie needs to reach more people like J’s mum. Your support will help them provide care to people living in the community where you live and work
So please, please dig deep and donate now!!!!!
