I am going to cycle the Devon Coast to Coast, the weekend of the 6th April, to raise money for the Devon Air Ambulance. I want to do this because at the end of March 2012, my husband Peter had a terrible bicycle accident. He was airlifted to hospital but unfortunately, never regained consciousness. If it had not been for the excellent treatment he received from the air ambulance crew at the scene, I believe it would not have been possible for us to sit with him during the last week of his life and say our goodbyes.
