Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2011 my sister in law died 3 months after being diagnosed with cancer.

Lorraine was a beautiful soul who always had time for me no matter how busy she was, she is truly missed and these days I like live life to the full in honour of her.

This leads me to do many events in her name

I started this journey coming back from a year of injury ending in an operation August 2017, after the operation I had complications which left me 6 weeks to train for the first part the Snowdonia marathon, my first ever marathon.

You wonderful guys helped me raise £300 so I have decided to really push myself over the next year to see if we can make this £3000 in honour of a beautiful angel and living life to the full.

I will so far be doing;

Conwy November 19th 2017 (3 weeks after Snowdonia) This event is now completed in 2hrs 10 mins not bad after a marathon and recovering from being really poorly in hospital.

Wilmslow 10k November 26th 2017 (a week after Conwy). Completed 58mins on tired legs.

Angelsey Half Marathon March the 4th.     completed 2hrs 17

Deva 70.3 Triathlon 3rd June 2018 (my first middle distance) completed 7hrs 16

Rough Runner Obstacle Course June 16th completed.

Three peaks Yorkshire 7th July completed

Salford Olympic distance Triathlon July 29th completed on tough day in the rain

Sandman Legend 70.3 23rd September. Completed in 7:55 in very testing conditions indeed

Chester Marathon 7th October 2018 completed

Snowdonia Marathon 27th October 2018 (I know I am crazy right 3 weeks after Chester) completed

Conway Half 18th November.

I will be adding on more events as they come up throughout the year.

Lorraine would think I am crazy but I know she would smile, she was there at the beginning of me training as a fitpro and I know she is with me through each of my events.

The money raised will go to Marie curie as they helped both Loraine and the family in the short months we had with her and it made a massive difference, it gave us time to be with her and make the most of what we had.

There are people today going through the pain of losing loved ones knowing they have so little time and this charity can make a difference so they can have quality time together.

Thank you for reading and please if you can only afford a small donation, these add up too and are often the ones that help us reach the target.

£3000 is a lot but if everyone gave a £1 it would lighten the load and make someone somewhere have that support in place.

I am so grateful for all your support and humbled as ever by how kind human beings can be, I hope I can do you justice on my side.

Thank you

Marita
