Albo's Great North Run 2021
Fundraising for Cerebral Palsy Sport
So a little about me and why I'm doing the GNR 2020 for cp sport. I am the proud father of Jacob my only son who was born at 28 weeks 3 days premature and had numerous complications throughout his 103 day stay in hospital and was diagnosed with Stage 5 four limb cerebral palsy shortly thereafter. Now most of us take sitting and walking etc for granted which is something my son is fighting to do every single day due to his condition.
We all hope our children will grow up strong and we will see them kick a ball round a football pitch or skateboard at the local park, it's part of being a proud parent and watching our children prosper. CP sport help children with cp achieve these things and provide funding and help.
I now feel after christening my son on his 2nd birthday that I want to raise awareness and help this charity by running the Great North Run 2021 in its 41st year, something I did 11years ago in full firekit and breathing apparatus and now fancy a go in normal gear !!!
I hope people take the time to read this story as it's mine and personal to me so anyone who can give just a little and help will be making my son's life and many other children's just that little bit better.
