So why Alzeheimer's ? It is a disease that has touched people I know and something sadly we may face ourselves. When someone talked about an 'episode' or 'attack' it was described as letters or numbers cascading through your mind, a scary image. It is a disease where the sufferer can appear happy but alien to ones they love, memories all but wiped. Recently scientists in the US have created new nerve drugs that may lead to the reversal of this disease but trials are at the early stage.
