Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page to raise funds for the Epilepsy Society.
Epilepsy can strike any body at any time, at any age. We first experienced this as a family back in May 2021 when our son Kian had his first Epileptic seizure. It was frightening to see him having a seizure, firstly not knowing what was happening or what to do.....
We wish to raise awareness for Epilepsy and much needed funds for the Epilepsy Society so they can help other families and transform lives through research, advocacy and care.
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and with the support of my wife Vicky and our two children Monique and Kian, who we adopted in 2015, family, friends and work colleagues I have decided to go for it. There is a lot of preparation and training required over the next 16 months before I leave on the 24th December 2023 for Kilimanjaro. I will reach the Summit - Uhuru Peak at 5895m (19,341 ft) as the sun rises at dawn on New years day morning the 1st January 2024.
We hope you can donate, but if not, as we know times are hard, at least reading this page will of gone a short way to raise awareness for Epilepsy and the Epilepsy Society for all the great work that they do.
