We have decided to run a half marathon (much to ours knees and feet's dismay!!) for We are Beams, this is a local charity that supports disabled children,young people and their families. The disabled children and young people who access their services will typically have one or more learning difficulty, complex health needs, physical or sensory impairment, challenging behaviour, Autism or severe ADHD. The support they give makes a huge difference on a daily basis ranging from independent 1:1 support, day activities, short breaks, family support, family advice, educational support, direct payments, siblings clubs, the list is endless, all of the staff work above and beyond their roles and really love the challenging but rewarding work that they do. Its a small charity that relies on donations, so please give as much as you can as this will be greatly received.
