I've done it!  Thank you so much for all your support and sponsorship.  I'm still accepting donations, so it's not too late for anyone who still wants to give.

The marathon was an amazing day.  From the getting up at 5:30 am to getting the bus-ferry-bus to the start with the other 39,000 runners to hitting the wall at 17 miles to crossing the finish line.  Managed to get through the start 40 minutes after the gun, then a mere 4 hrs 37 mins later and it was all over (I came 23,515th).  I'm chuffed to have done it, it's been my obsession for the last 4 months and it's finally done.   Time for a rest.

The picture is me about an hour or so after the finish (notice the chocolate wrapper in my hand!, some things never change).
