Event: BUPA Great North Run 2010, on 19 September 2010

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running in the Great North Run on September 19th 2010 and would like to raise some money for a deserving charity. As you may know last year my wife recently contracted breast cancer  , this has been tough time for her and she has received some excellent help from Helen Rollason Cancer Support - this organisation provides emotional support for cancer patients at the Helen Rollason Cancer Support Centres: two in Essex, one in London and one in Hertfordshire.  They provide treatments , counselling and support groups for patients who have undergone chemotherapy.

So any donations would be welcome - it's only when you have lived through something like this that you really appreciate what a terrible disease cancer is and the cure is a devastating ordeal to put someone through.

I have no target for a time to complete the run , under 2 hours would be great but I am just going to enjoy the day.

PS - The picture is my daughter, her friend and me after the Brentwood half marathon and fun run.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
