Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 15/03/15 my son Martin Abercromby was born but unfortunately he passed away at birth. He was born at 23 +5 weeks and was on the cusp of survival. His mum Angelinas' cervix had unexpectedly opened early and there was nothing the doctors could do to stop it. This absolutely devastated my family, especially as the doctors could not provide us with any conclusive answers as to why this had happened.
I feel like I have to do something; firstly in memory of my son and secondly because I am passionate about raising some awareness and funding for Tommy's so that it might help to prevent other families from going through the devastation of a baby loss.
Angelina and myself have another son Adrian (8 years old) who was also born premature (at 30 weeks) but thankfully survived through the help of the neo-natal intensive care unit that used to be at Stirling Royal Infirmary.
I have pledged to raise £500 for Tommy's so any amount of donation would be very greatly appreciated.
Thanks on behalf of me, my family and Tommy's.
*update* we now have a beautiful baby girl (Heidi). She was born by emergency section at 37 weeks. The cervical stitch Angelina got worked!
