Story
I won't lie, after 25 years of endurance racing my legs are f*cked, and with injuries to my knee, calf, back and achilles tendon my distance running days are nearing the end, so I might as well go out with a bang and use my accumulated scar tissue to raise money for the fantastic CFC while I can.
This will be the most marathons I've attempted in one go before, and I'm definitely biting off more than I can chew, but aproximately 2,400 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer each year in the UK, and CFC is an inspiring charity which helps children to regain their physical fitness and mental wellness by giving them new bikes, adapted trikes and specialist support during treatment and into recovery. Since the charity began in 2005 they have distributed over 8,500 bikes and trikes, so that kids suffering from this appalling illness can have the simple joy of riding a bike, like every other child.
