Thanks to everyone's generousity. There are still some donations offline to add, so I think I am closer to this target than I was to my target of 2 hrs!! That said it was a highly enjoyable experience for any sado masochist! Honest I found it hard but would do it again. Indeed my son (Kevin) has said that he will do it with me next year, I look forward to that we will have to beat 2Hrs though!!

I am taking part in this years Great North Run half marathon in Newcastle on September 20th.

My aim is to complete this in 2hrs! That is the chip time of course!!(Reading 2008 took me 2Hrs19) but I have been told that this will be difficult simply because of volume of traffic.

I have decided to try and raise as much money as I can for Cancer Research. I chose this charity because of the number of family and close friends who contracted cancer in one form or another, some succumbed, some survived, all needed treatment. Cancer research is at the forefront in financing research into treatments and cures which have played  a large part in increasing the prospects of surviving, their vision...Together we can beat cancer... is something we can all help to achieve.
