Hi and thanks for coming to my  Badger's Just Giving page for Groove School.

I'm part of a motley team, called 'Oh Buoy honey Badgers! to take on the The Great River Race - Millwall to Ham in a 34ft waterman cutter and row 21.6 miles on 12- September so that we can raise at least £5,000 for the Groove School, Streatham, London.

Mary Green

Mother of 2, Grandmother of 2, Disco Diva Supreme (in the dancing sense) and wannabe sailor, I've  been nominated by the team to Captain our boat through thick and thin. 

Having sailed across the Atlantic slightly clueless on board a 72ft Tall Ship Brig with the Tall Ships Youth Trust for a personal challenge it inspired me to put a team of people together from my watch and take part in the great river race 2011, i did it again in 2012 but with a different team.  This year new challenge new team.  Oh  She has discovered in life that a proper challenge is healthy and if it helps people then that’s a Brucey bonus. 

I've brought together this rag tag team with the spirit of the honey badgers with no experience except the belief in  2 amazing charities - 

Groove School  & The Ahoy Centre 

A team forged in the dark of our local pub, we hardly know each other yet but all want to do the most we can to help some great local charities!  

Why Oh Buoy Honey Badgers! -  Honey badges are smallish creatures that seem to have no fear and will take on anything  - that's  my team!
