Having previously completed various walking events in aid of www.SchoolForParents.org, I wanted to try something that would be tough, entertaining and essentially rewarding for School For Parents and for myself. I have also, recently set up a business manufacturing a new and innovative Solar Rechargeable Backpack for Hikers, it seemed like a sensible plan to try and tie the two things together.

So Me and the Hotwire 55 Backpack will be hitting the roads and trails in two completely separate venues on June 20th & 21st this year. Starting and finishing at School For Parents on Friday 20th. I will be walking a Half Marathon (13 Mile) distance around the Nottingham area before heading over to Wales for a 4am start on Saturday 21st to complete the Annual 'Rotary Across Wales Walk' (42 Miles).  

This starts on the West coast of Wales and comes back inland to where Wales meets the English border. Starting at 4am, it is expected that the walk finish will be around 8pm.

I will be 'Live Blogging' both sections of the walk via my own website www.Hotwire55.com, also through feeds on Facebook and Twitter utilising my Hotwire 55 Backpack to keep my lines of communication running throughout.
