In the aftermath of the General Election in the UK last week, I semi-jokingly floated the idea that I would not shave until the Prime Minister resigned.[1]

More seriously, as an alliance with the DUP was floated I decided that I should try to support those punished by their backwards, oppressive policies in Northern Ireland. The Abortion Support Network seemed like a good fit.

So I decided that I would refrain from shaving my face until I could raise £250 for the ASN. If that happens more quickly than I expect, I will raise the target to £500. The aim is to do this before the government collapses. We might have five years, we might have a week.

[1] I already hadn't shaved for nearly a week before the election, so there was no ground-level starting point.
