I am running the London Marathon on April 26th 2015. Training is well underway but I need you to help me raise money for this beautiful charity. A charity almost everyone I know has a massive connection to.

After being inspired by films recently such as Pride and Imitation Game, it really hit home about how much LGBT people throughout history have fought so hard for equal rights and were discriminated against because of sexuality. Stonewall is a charity that works alongside local authorities, local governments, schools and young people to help eradicate homophobia. Some major successes include helping achieve the equalisation of the age of consent, lifting the ban on lesbians and gay men serving in the military, securing legislation allowing same-sex couples to adopt and the repeal of Section 28. More recently Stonewall has helped secure civil partnerships and ensured the recent Equality Act protected lesbians and gay men in terms of goods and services.

Despite all of the above however the most important point for me regarding Stonewall is that everyone is treated EQUALLY and I hope you all agree.
