Hello friends/family/colleagues and others I know with money ;)

As you know I consider myself an athlete ;) so last year I accepted a challenge from my brother (thanks Si) to enter the London Triathlon and "the race" has haunted my dreams ever since!

I've mentioned it a few times recently but for those that don't know...the triathlon is half Olympic distance around Docklands (and in the Thames?) with a 750m swim to start then 20km on the bike before a 5km run to finish me off. After initial hopes of winning the thing I've come to realise that just finishing is credible.

So here comes the tug on your heart strings. I'm raising money for the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. They provide practical and emotional support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. They assist over a 1000 families a year both in their own homes and also at respite centres to support the whole family through what I'm sure you can imagine is a very difficult time.

Please dig deep and donate for the kids! I'm not looking for huge amounts...anything and everything is really appreciated. It might even help me get round that little bit faster!
