Story
Since learning about the NFA 12 years ago It has never ceased to amaze me just how powerful and beneficial this charity is to former Service Personnel. It really does target the individual and meets their every need, yet still as a group/team.
The events/trips and outings are based around comradeship, every attendee will find themselves enveloped into a group to whom they will all share the same values-experiences and often previous hardships. New friends will be made- new people to keep in touch with and new comrades to remember so therefore furthering the enablement to Never be Forgotten.
We chose to serve our country- we travelled to Foreign fields to protect and preserve our Countries Freedoms and Security. We sleep soundly at night knowing that the actions of so many over the past 100 years have afforded us the freedoms we now unfortunately take for granted.
We- Us that served, were all someone - we had a function, a purpose, a responsibility to deploy and protect, to fight and to maintain safety for those we loved, for our Country and for our fellow comrades in Arms.
Upon leaving we all dissolve into society and very soon disappear into the other life. Its no bodies fault but we do feel Forgotten. That's where the NFA steps in.
Thank you for your time- support and kindness. God Bless you all.
