Story
Dear Friends
I decided before my dear wife Lisa passed away, that myself and Ben (son) would run another Marathon. She was not very happy, but when i told her it was to raise money for the first ever Ovarian cancer center, she agreed it would be a good focus for me. I am running with 6 very close friends, who are so touched by Lisa. We are all doing this in Lisa's Honor consisting of Matthew Harris, Ben Harris (son) Tony Crook, , , & Gregg Meehan & Dean Anderson.
Lisa Harris, an incredible mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend. An inspiration to her four beautiful children, Ben, Bianca, Beaux and Brooke. Every Person that has come in contact with Lisa over her short life was touched by her sensitivity, loyalty, kindness and wacky personality. Lisa was her children's best advocate and would sacrifice everything for them. She will be in our hearts forever!
Its for a very special cause, indeed Ovarian Cancer Action Charity see the link http://www.ovarian.org.uk/ this charity needs to raise 10million to open the first ever Ovarian cancer center, to research, treat and specialize. Any sponsorship from £1 to what ever people can afford will help us hit our target. If I raise £20k they will put a plaque on the wall in honor of Lisa. So please support us....

Ovarian Cancer Action is the leading ovarian cancer charity in the . Ovarian Cancer Action funds research into ovarian cancer, raises awareness of the disease and gives a voice to women affected by it. Ovarian cancer kills 12 women a day in the , and survival rates are low at 40%, compared to 80% for breast cancer. We urgently need to raise £10million for the new Ovarian Cancer Action research centre, at Imperial College London – the UK’s first ever research facility entirely dedicated to ovarian cancer & the BRACA 1/2 Gene. Thanks to a large increase in research spending on breast cancer, survival rates have increased by over 20% in the last decade. Ovarian Cancer Action believes that, with the same input, we can make a similar impact on ovarian cancer.
