Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have planned this walk to coincide with the 25th Anniversary of 'The Gathering', an event for fans of Mike Peters of the rock band The Alarm of which Ali and I both are. Some of our friends and family will be aware that he is also co-founder of the Love Hope Strength charity and a three times cancer survivor. Many may not know that he has a wife, Jules, who has also recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite this, they still manage a gruelling touring and recording career while juggling charity fundraising, home life and young family.

This special anniversary deserves a special effort to travel to, so I'm going to arrive on foot from Chester along the Wales Coast Path to Llandudno, 80K away (that's near as dammit 50 miles in old money). It's a route which takes in many significant sites relating to Mike and the Alarm along its length and so I thought it would be a fitting choice to help raise some awareness and of course money for the LHS Foundation.

Just to make it a little harder the plan is to complete it in 24 hours (thanks for that bit of crazy Lydia) to arrive a little ahead of G25! Thank you so much in advance to everybody for their donations and if anybody wants to tag along for any of the way and offer some moral support please feel free... the more the merrier!
