Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2021 my Grandad lost his battle with cancer, in his final weeks he was cared for by St John’s Hospice. I was blown away by the care and service they provide, so wanted to give something back.

At first I thought I would do some sort of endurance event but it didn’t feel right asking for donations for something I genuinely love doing. So instead I have somehow managed to persuade 21 of my closest friends and family to run the Manchester Half Marathon in October. I will be offering advice, training plans and motivation, the objective being that everyone who stands on the start line gets over the finish line. Doesn’t seem like a big task but out of the 21, 15 have never run this distance before, some haven’t run a mile since high school and 3 are over 50!

Below is my team of hard working blokes who love a pint and have decided to run a half marathon for a great cause and hopefully inspire others to try something new, get fit and challenge themselves...
