Help me to raise some money for a cause that means a lot to me! 

5 years ago I was raped on a night out. My drink was spiked, a stranger took me somewhere, raped me and left me semiconsious on the ground. It is hands down the worst time of my life and affected me a lot. I ended up leaving my then home in London, and depending on legal and not so legal medication to try and help with my suicidal feelings.

A disgusting amount of people are made to go through this kind of shit and I'm finally feeling comfortable enough to talk about it more openly with others and want to do something (however small) to hopefully support others who have gone through something similar.

I have never been known as a fitness person but this September I will be doing a 10k run to raise funds and awareness for Rape Crisis. Whatever amount anyone can give to this awesome organisation on will go to help victims of sexual assault and rape. 

Writing this post/the training and ultimately the run are challenging for sure but I feel like this process will help my healing while the fundraising will more importantly go to help others too.
