Babies born as early as 23 weeks or with serious medical conditions are treated in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Maple Grove Hospital. Care needs are complex for these tiny babies and require advanced technologies and a specialized team of experts.For most families, a stay in the NICU is unexpected. It’s a time of fear and anxiety as they face an unknown future for their baby. A NICU stay is full of extreme highs and lows as babies face both challenges and advances while struggling to gain the strength they need to go home. Sometimes this continues for weeks or months, with normal life activities for the family put on hold.Please help me support these babies and their families. After going through our stay at the nicu, with Mason and three of our other children, we know the challenges and time and effort it takes. It also makes a huge impact on both the parents and kids. Through Masons Fund, we will provide tablets, gift cards, clothes, and other things to help provide a break and ways to ease the stay. Now that Maple Grove has the specialized helicopter and ambulance, more and more babies are being transferred to their facility. They are constantly upgrading and improving their care. We have witnessed this first hand.   During our stay with Mason, we we’re getting prepared for the long haul. Born at 24 weeks, Mason was a micro preemie who unfortunately lost his battle here on earth, and is now in playing in heaven. We continue to remember and honor Mason through this fund. We have received a letter in the recent months of how his fund has helped, and it has touched us deeply to know that his memory and fund is reaching others. His lion spirit and heart will not be forgotten ♥️
