On Saturday 28th February myself and Weymouth's First Class Fitness family will be taking on the challenge of 'Tuff Enuff's' latest event 'BREAKOUT' in Portland. 

Breakout is a daring, merciless, endurance course race, filled with hard hitting obstacles, around the Jurassic coastline of the Isle of Portland. All the team at First Class Fitness will endeavour a gruelling trail over approximately 12 km. We will come across obstacles that are fiendishly designed to push you to breaking point physically, mentally and psychologically, and we are very excited for the challenge.

I want to use this opportunity to raise some funds in aid of Crohns Colitis UK, which is a charity close to my heart.

Following the trauma of acute appendicitis, I developed Ulcerative Colitis, which is an inflammation of the large bowel. This has impacted on my life in many ways, and has caused me to take multiple medications and be hospitalised numerous times. As a young keen 'fitness freak', I will not allow this disease to control my life any further, and I will continually endeavour to participate in as many events like this as I can.

Crohn's and Colitis UK is a nationwide charity.  It's mission is to work with all those affected by inflammatory bowel diseases, in particular Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, to achieve a better quality of life, improve services, and ultimately find a cure.  They raise awareness, provide information and support, fund crucial research, and campaign and speak up for change. http://www.crohnsandcolitis.org.uk/

It is extremely important to me to support this charity, to raise as much funding as possible provide suffers like me with support.
