Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm really excited about the challenge I've set myself for this year. You perhaps know that I've been a Board member of Royal Blind (SC017167) for a number of years and was honoured to be appointed as the Chair of the charity in December 2019. Royal Blind is a wonderful charity based here in Scotland. We seek to provide services to blind and partially sighted children and adults which allow them to live lives without disadvantage. Our vision is to see a community in which blind and partially sighted people, including those who have other disabilities, are fully included and lead fulfilling lives.
The year 2020 gives an ideal opportunity for sight charities such as Royal Blind to raise the profile and awareness of the work that we do and hopefully to raise some extra funds along the way.
After much deliberation, and having recently bought a bike for the first time in over 40 years, I've decided to set myself a challenge of completing twenty separate cycle rides of 20 miles or more during 2020. I'm hoping that I'll be able to do some of these in different parts of Scotland, and potentially one or two overseas also!
I hope that you will be able to support me on my journey. In return, I will aim to provide you with regular updates of my progress through the blogs that I write on my JustGiving page.
