On Friday 22nd September 2017, a team from Berkeley St Edward including Paul Vallone, Travis Crawford, Andrew Lock and myself led another ride to raise money for our local charities. This years ride was a real challenge yet again with torrential rain for the last 120 miles when we met my father in law!! I think he must have jinxed us!! But..... we did it and after leaving at 7am we eventually arrived, soaking wet at 4.30pm before setting off for the hotel to try and dry out!!

After dinner, we had two pints and were all tucked up in bed by 9.30pm ready for a 7am start for the return leg. The following morning it was still raining but the weather began to break as we headed over Dartmoor. We all arrived home at around 3pm ready to relax for what was left of the weekend. A huge thank you to those who have donated so far. For those that haven't, please do as every penny is match funded by the Berkeley Foundation.

This page represents my fundraising for BHWL's chosen charity, READY. We will be riding the 700 mile round trip over two days. All monies donated will be match funded by the Berkeley Foundation and our overall aim is to raise £4000.00 if possible. All donations will go to the charity and will not be funding the journey in any manner so please give generously and thank you all in advance.

READY raises money to help young people with disabilities play sport and take part in healthy activities for fun and fitness. They are run completely by volunteers.

Over the years they have helped hundreds of children with grants for racing wheelchairs, basketball wheelchairs, blind cricket, ramps, prosthetics, seated skis, team kit, racing gloves, specialist hearing aids, gym equipment, swimming lessons, facilities and transport for kids, carers and even ponies. The grants they are able to make are truly life changing.
