Hi Everyone

I've been running for about 3 years now, and having set myself the goal of doing a marathon before I get to the ripe old age of 50, I pulled it forward just a few years, as my younger brother's also running the distance for the first time, and I didn't want him to get there before me!

So here it is - with recent history of a dodgy back I've deliberately left seeking sponsorship until relatively late, so I could be reasonably comfortable that I'd get through the training and, touch wood, things are going well.

In all the 10k races and half marathons I've done over the past few years I've never sought sponsorship - so I'm really keen to make this the "big one" - payback time please for all those people I've sponsored over the years!  Not least because I'm doing it for a really good cause.  At the start of the year I became chairman of the Scope pension scheme - and it's highlighted to me the excellent work they do for disabled people, and quite simply, I want to help them contiue - so please, dig deeply, and wish me luck!
