Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This will be my very first running event and also my very first attempt to run this distance!  

I'm inspired to run for GRWE by our whippet lurcher, Lily, who gives us soooo much sheer joy, but as I'm not allowed another doggy (yet!), I want to support more lovely hounds looking for loving homes, by embarking on this ordeal!

Please don't assume that this is 'just' about dogs and not humans, so perhaps not a worthy cause - dogs can be endlessly giving and brighten even your darkest day; they deserve a good life.  At my age I'm not doing this for a laugh, so any sponsorship you can spare me/GRWE will be much appreciated and will spur me on!
