Many of you will know I have recently found 'running' .....and in 6 weeks time I take on my biggest challenge yet, something that 12 months ago I never thought I would do.....a Half marathon. (21st February in Wokingham)

My inspiration over the last 6 months has been an incredibly brave lady called Jo, one of my dearest friends who is currently facing a significantly bigger challenge, her fight against cancer.  Jo is winning due to her amazing attitude and positive thinking.  Jo is only 43 and is undergoing continuous treatment to help her win this battle, facing emotional and physical challenges day in day out.  I struggle to understand why someone so young is fighting such an illness, but equally I thank all those amazing people who have, through medical research, developed the essential treatments available to help Jo today.

Unfortunately I know many of you will also know someone very close who is also  fighting this disease, but thankfuly so many more are winning.  Sponsoring  this half marathon to raise funds for Cancer Reserach UK means we can help this charity  continue to find new ways to cure those who find themselves fighting this battle in the future.
