Many of you that know me well will be aware that the past 18 months has been a particularly difficult time for me and my family as I struggled with a persistent illness.

Feeling healthier and happier now, I have set myself a challenge to do something positive and give something back to those less fortunate that myself. So on the 30th January 2011 my friend Una and I will run the Barcelona Half Marathon and raise funds for the charity, Children in Crossfire.

Children in Crossfire has become an international organisation working to protect and promote the rights of some the world's most vulnerable children.The story of Children in Crossfire has its roots in what began as a tragedy and ended as a triumph of the human spirit to overcome adversity...for more information visit www.childrenincrossfire.org

We have secured our places, paid for travel and accomodation and raised over £600 each through a fundraising initiative at Halloween. We still need to raise another £750 each and that is where I need YOUR support.
