Less than 5 days to go and I've never been so nervous in my life!!!

Hey Guys,

Yup, you heard right... I am running the Virgin London Marathon... all 26.2 miles of it for Clic Sargent.

It is my very first marathon, and hopefully not my last!

Having spent the last few years enjoying myself, I have decided to get my running shoes back out and challenge myself to doing something I wouldn't have done a year or so ago (let alone run that far in a month!)

This year I watched friends endure the greuling 26.2 miles, raising thousands of pounds for charities and thought it is my turn to do the same.

The pain of running the marathon is nothing to what the children that Clic Sargent support suffer, so the least I can do is trade my pain for donations to help these kids through the horrible time of suffering them and their families go through.

I have already run the Hastings Half Marathon in preparation, which I would advise everyone I know not to do as the first 7 miles are hills!

...and yes, I am quitting smoking, and whilst I was aiming to run it in 4hours 30, thanks to a lovely knee injury I am now aiming for a sub 5 hour marathon if my knee can take it... and even if it doesn't, I WILL be completing the full 26.2 miles even if it means crawling it!!
