Story

In 2013 I was diagnosed with a liver disease, the cause of this problem was an underlying blood disorder; myeloproliferative neoplasm; polycythaemia vera. This is a rare blood cancer, only 600,000 people in the UK suffer with it; I want to be part of a future that finds a cure and stops me and others in a similar situation as me suffering in the way that we do. Having a rare illness and something that can't be seen is hard; something that's not seen isn't always believed. I am part of a wonderful online community who everyday face challenges for those people and for out future I am running both the Silverstone Half Marathon and Bupa 10K.

For a future without sadness and a future without cancer!

About the charity

MPN Voice leads the way in supporting people with rare blood cancers called Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs), with accurate information and emotional support. We're funding research toward better treatments and one day a cure. Most importantly we offer hope to those affected by MPNs.
