Story
My biggest bike riding challenge yet! Me and 179 others are aiming to cycle 260 miles to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Huddersfield Town Youth Academy (equal shares). This is part of a Huddersfield Town Football Club initiative to cycle to our last away game of the season - at Brighton!!
My padded lycras and gel filled saddle will be sources of comfort to me and you'll have the pleasure of knowing I will be suffering most of the way.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) provides a vital fast response life saving service. Wherever a patient is carried by YAA they are approximately 10 minutes from the nearest hospital & 15 minutes from the most appropraite hospital for their specific need.
The Huddersfield Town Academy takes on players from 8 to 18 and looks after their wider eductaion as well as football - in case their careers don't flourish as expected. Those players who graduate to the Town First Team, stay for a number of years with some going on to play in higher divisions.
Please help support me in this challenging and important fundraising event. Please make sure you mark Gift Aid if you are a taxpayer as it will greatly add to the total.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks
