The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Hello,

This year in my bid to be the tallest man in Western Europe I'm climbing Mont Blanc from the 24th June - 1st July 2012.

In the week I will be making 3 other high altitude ascents to acclimatise as well as ice axe and rope training in prepartion for the 2 day ascent for the tallest mountain in Western Europe - nearly 5 x the size of Snowdon!

If you want to support me, please sponsor me and give to Guide Dogs for the Blind, a very deserving charity that changes peoples lives forever [http://www.guidedogs.org.uk]. Please give kindly - and this idiot will put himself through a week of physical hell for it all.

The trip is 100% funded by me so every penny you give goes straight to the Guidedogs.

If I have ever helped you or you owe me a favour, or simply you would like to see me go through hell for a good cause (again) then please donate.

Thank you all

Mike

PS: I will add photos as I go through my training
