Story
Thank you for visiting my 'JustGiving page'.
I have been persuaded to take part in the Macmillan Cancer Support Etape Caledonia cycle race in Pitlochry on Sunday 16th May. I am undertaking this 81-mile, 2000 metres of climbing race event along with around 2500 other enthusiastic or mad individuals! Fortunately there are several groups according to ability - I have put myself in the group 'likely to take more than 5.5 hours' . I guess for me it will be less of a race, more an endurance test!
According to Macmillan, every day 822 people in the UK are told they have cancer. We want to help all of these people by providing them with the support they need.
As treatments improve, more and more people are living with cancer in their daily lives. This means they need not only medical help, but also need practical, emotional and financial support. That’s why our involvement in this event is important.
Every penny raised from our friends, family and colleagues by way of sponsorship will help Macmillan to take huge steps towards reaching their ambition to reach out to and help, everyone affected by cancer.

Your support is really appreciated............
