Nine girls from EDF Energy 4/5 dial mismatch team within the BBC project are taking part in the EDF energy Half Marathon run in Birmingham on the 11th October 09. 

We are all different ages, shapes, sizes and abilities but we have masses of enthusiasm and would like your help to raise money and awareness for our chosen charities Global Action Plan, Multiple Sclerosis Society and Macmillan Cancer Support.

It isn’t possible to have all three of our chosen charities on the one fundraising page because of the Gift Aid declaration you make when donating. JustGiving can only apply this to one charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan exists to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer, both those living with cancer and also their families and carers. Today, more people in the are living with cancer and one in three of us will get cancer at some point in our lives. Macmillan fund nurses and other specialist health and social care professionals, they share information, give emotional support, offer financial help and advice, and provide practical help at home.
