Story
On the 7th of April an 11 person team consisting of Mitch, Conor, Ailie, Sadie, Terry, Luke, Josh, Megan, Paul, Olivia and Matt will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of the amazing Megan Cremin.
Megan sadly passed away on the 30th of September 2023 after an incredibly short battle with Leukemia. Megan was diagnosed with Acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APL) at age just 29.
Acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APL) happens when the promyelocytes (a type of blood cell) doesn’t fully develop and becomes cancerous. APL is an 'acute' leukaemia, which means it develops quickly and needs treatment straight away. APL is rare. Each year, around 160 people are diagnosed with it in the UK.
We would like to raise as much awareness as possible of this rare type of Leukemia. If you can spare anything to help with research, it will be greatly appreciated
