My family hero is my late father in law who was in the Polish army at the outbreak of the Second World War. He was caught by the Russians and sent off to a concentration camp in Siberia. He was later released and joined the British Army, fought with them up through the Middle East and Italy returning to the UK at the end of the war.

Today, we have many other Heroes and through British Military Fitness on Hampstead Heath and my children’s involvement with the Army Cadets I have come in contact with this charity.
