Story
On July 7th I am doing a 100 miles tandem ride with my dad, from London to Cotswolds (Moreton-in-Marsh) for GOSH, the hospital that saved my life when I was only 15 months.
I want to ride in memory of Alice Campargue.
I never met Alice, but her dad works with my mum and when I heard her story, I was very moved.
On October 2018, just before her third birthday, Alice was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma. She was living in London at the time and she was rushed to GOSH for surgery to remove the tumor in her brain. She then transferred to France to continue her treatment with her family and her little twin sister Judith by her side.
Alice fought for seven months, always keeping a smile on her face. She had five surgeries, multiple rounds of chemo.. she even had to learn to walk again. At the end of treatment, Alice was cancer free. She won the battle to cancer, but lost it against treatment.. it was too strong for her fragile body and she left us on May 12th.
This ride and this money is to say thank you to the hospital, for me and for Alice.... and for all those children that do not get the opportunity to give something back to GOSH.
Please help me... and wish me luck!
Luna
