Story
This year I shall be completing a sprint triathlon at Blenheim followed by my first ever Olympic triathlon.
Over the years I have tried to raise money for charities that truly deserve recognition, this year after studying law I have become aware of the truly shocking statistics and disadvantages incurred by simply being born a woman.
Women are still the minority in politics, boardrooms and the editorials of media.
Women are still subject to gender pay gaps, sexual and non-sexual harassment and prejudice for having or not having a family.
Yet 20% of men aged 25-34 say women's equality has gone too far.
I know this is a very taboo topic, that causes conflicting opinions, but the work done by the Fawcett society is truly inspirational. Please take a little bit of time to read into what they are doing and why they are doing it.
