Born, raised and living in the area, Greenwich Islamic Centre (GIC) has always been my local mosque. It serves a large and probably the most diverse community in South East London. 

GIC is located in a not so affluent part of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, and faces huge challenges with a lack of youth services and other much needed social welfare projects.

This is why GIC is undergoing major renovation works to extend the mosque buildings and provide necessary facilities and services to the ever-growing community.

The project is large and ambitious and currently it is being completed in various phases. Last year the new wudu facilities were completed, Alhamdulillah.

Let's work together as a community to smash this £5k target so that we can all benefit in the reward because, after all, we only win when we win together.
