Story
Every 25 seconds a child calls the NSPCC.
The NSPCC is the leading children’s charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk and find the best ways of preventing abuse from happening.
The NSPCC works with families when they're going through difficult times – like battling addiction or overcoming mental health problems. They offer all kinds of support – from helping new parents care for their baby to giving professionals the tools they need to assess neglect.
They visit primary schools and help children understand what abuse is, giving them the confidence to speak out and seek help if they ever need it.
They help parents keep their children safe through campaigns like the “Underwear Rule” and “Share Aware”.
NSPCC counsellors are there 24 hours a day, to help parents, professionals and anyone worried about a child in the UK. We will listen to your concerns, offer advice and support and can take action on your behalf if a child is in danger.
The NSPCC is working in every community in the UK.
This year we are running the Credit Suisse Banger Rally for the NSPCC in support of their mission to eradicate child abuse.
We will be driving our Ford Galaxy ( Cost ~ £500 ) , which will be expertly “pimped” by the 6th form Students of Sir William Perkins School in Chertsey with a Disney theme. We are the Mouseketeers which will give us ample opportunity to channel our inner mouse. All costs of the rally are borne by the participants, so all of your donations got to the NSPCC. Please give generously for this outstanding cause and we can collectively help tackle the problem of child abuse in the UK.
