Final Daily update:
Day 9: A mere 96 miles to finish in glorious sunshine. Overall a very hilly route especially day 8, and good to know that many fast riders also found it hard. Time to celebrate and get the body back together!
Over 9 consecutive days from June 12, I will be cycling over 1000 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End to raise money for Paralympics GB.
So, just around 114 miles a day then, into the gentle prevailing wind!
Having trained for only the last 3 months, this will certainly be a tough challenge. I'll be with some fantastic new friends though who have helped enormously with training. They like hills - which is just as well because in total we will ascend the equivalent of 2.5 times the height of Everest!
Please give generously for Paralympics GB to ensure their athletes get the support they need to compete against the world's best in the 2012 Games in London.
