Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm running the 2014 London Marathon (42km/26mi!) to raise money for the great work that the Natural History Museum does.
Every year the Museum welcomes more than 5 million visitors through its doors, and provides free entertainment and education on a vast array of nature topics from deep space to the deep sea, and from dinosaurs to human evolution.
But what you may not know is that behind the scenes there are more than 300 scientific staff and 150 post-graduate students undertaking world-class research, publishing influential papers and providing a voice of authority on the natural world.
The Natural History Museum is currently working on:
- Digitising its collections to allow free access worldwide,
- Studying its unrivalled collections to reveal environmental change and support future research, and
- Tackling problems that impact society, such as health and food security.
I'd really appreciate it if you could help my fundraising efforts, and the work of the Museum, by donating to my Marathon run.
