Story
Clearly not having learned my lesson, I'm subjecting to myself to the sheer bliss of running another 26.2 miles. Only this time on home soil.
Thanks again to those of you who donated so generously to my niece's cause for Dublin 2007. For London 2010, I was lucky enough to win a charity place with a similar cause - THE NATIONAL AUTISTIC SOCIETY. As well as the fantastic work the NAS does for sufferers of autism, it was NAS' work in a broader range of learning disabilities like aspergers, dyspraxia, ADHD, which makes this cause extra special to me.
On the whole learning disabilities can be easily misunderstood, especially where there are associated physical and emotional conditions. The NAS raises awareness about the frustrations and challenges faced by sufferers of autism and other learning disabilties, frustrations and challenges like those faced by our lovely, cheeky Talya.
(By the way that's her in the picture just to tug on those heart and purse strings)
I appreciate these are belt-tightening times, anything you can donate to this worthy cause is hugely appreciated.
Non-financial support is also gratefully received, so if you can, do come down to wave / suppport / point / laugh at me. It would be great to see some friendly faces in the crowd, although I may not stop for a quick chat...
Thanks for looking at my justgiving page. Roll on April 25th!!
