Story
On July 6th 2019 I will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge in just 24 hours!! That's right, I'll be climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scaffell Pike in just 1 day - apparently I've gone mad!
For me this isn't just a test of physical endurance but I am also mentally pushing myself way out of my comfort zone.
So why do I feel the need to tackle this colossal challenge and why do I need your help?
Since working at the Deaf Academy I have seen first hand how beneficial the academy is in offering education, community and friendships to deaf children and young people. That is why I am asking for your help to support me in raising £1000 for this incredible charity.
The current building for the Deaf Academy is crumbling and outdated which is limiting the difference the academy can make to the lives of these young people.
Imagine the feeling of isolation when you can't find a way to communicate with anyone, not even your parents, you can't understand what they are saying or make yourself heard, for many deaf children this is an everyday reality. The Deaf Academy is a charity that gives isolated children the gift of language.
It is important to remember that anyone can be born deaf and that 1 in 6 people are affected by hearing loss. You or someone you love could be affected.
Dig deep and make a change. Thank you all so much for your support.
Big Love - Nays!
