Story
My Son Oliver is 14 years old and has a diagnosis of severe Autism and Learning Disability. He has challenging behaviours which means that finding a place to visit at the weekend or in the holidays that can offer him a secure environment where he can play and we can relax as a family is unheard of . I dreamed of a place where it was safe and secure for Oliver to play without the looks and stares and where I wasn't apologising and having to explain his behaviours...and then my dream came true! I discovered Thomley.
Thomley is a secure environment where Oliver can ride on trikes, go-karts, play in the sand, use the play equipment, play sports, enjoy the sensory room, gym area, music room, go on the trampolines and have freedom, as the whole area has high fencing and secure gates which means that Oliver can run around having fun whilst we all enjoy a bit of downtime as a family.
Thomley is a place for people of all abilities & disabilities. They bring disabled people, their families, carers & friends together with nurturing & understanding staff. Each year they receive over 7,000 visits from disabled people. With your help they can support more people in even more ways.
