Myself and Christina are challenging ourselves to fully complete Stoptober but we need the help of you, our friends and families!

Christina will be abstaining from alcohol for the entire month whilst I will be without alcohol and  cigarettes (the cigarettes will hopefully be for life!) for the 31 days. If you know either of us well then you know this won't be easy but we're not doing it to be easy; we're doing it for Sparkle.

Sparkle are a local charity to us that offer an incredible amount of support and services to children less fortunate than most. The scarifies the volunteers make and the time they invest in the children is more than just turning up, it's everything that comes with it. Good days, bad days, crazy days and even sad days but I can guarantee you that these children's lives are much, much better because of Sparkle.

in April 2011 they were able to open a state of the art building that offers so much to not just the children but families as well, some facilities they have at the centre include:

Multiple consulting rooms for paediatricians to run clinics.

Purpose built hydrotherapy pool with hoists.

A specialist physiotherapy gym.

Large treatment rooms for therapy and leisure activities.

Specialist sensory, technology and audiology & speech/language facilities.

Family and sibling facilities.

Plastering, splinting and orthotic facilities.

Specialist suite for teaching supported and independent living.

Wheelchair training facilities.

MediCinema for children and young people with disabilities or developmental difficulties.

Leisure and play facilities including sensory garden and games area.

Sparkle needs to raise £400,000 a year to maintain these relationships with their families so if you find yourself in a position to donate, even the smallest amount, really will go towards the most incredible cause and know that myself and Christina will succeed with the help of your and each others support.
